Deuterium Isotope Enrichment

Overview

Modular Deuterium Enrichment for Experimental Systems

Overview

At LYZERDYNE, we design and build multi-stage electrolysis systems for isolating deuterium oxide (D₂O) from ordinary water.

Our approach is modular, cost-effective, and developed for laboratory-scale use—without relying on hazardous chemicals or industrial-scale infrastructure. Each system is built for controlled operation, real-time monitoring, and iterative refinement based on experimental data.

Why It Matters

Deuterium is an important isotope used in materials science, electrochemistry, and energy-related research. However, access to enriched deuterium is often limited by cost, scale, and availability.

By developing lab-scale enrichment systems, we enable controlled use of deuterium in experimental environments where flexibility, repeatability, and direct measurement are essential.

What We’re Building

  • Cascading electrolysis arrays with onboard automation and staged enrichment
  • Electrolyte monitoring systems for concentration, conductivity, and purity
  • Thermal and pressure-correlated studies of D/H ratios during operation
  • Integrated downstream distillation and enrichment refinement processes

Goals

  • Achieve high-purity D₂O using safe, repeatable, and scalable methods
  • Enable controlled use of deuterium in hydrogen–metal and electrochemical experiments
  • Establish a scalable framework for laboratory-scale isotope separation systems

Closing

Our focus is on building reliable systems for controlled isotope enrichment and experimental use.
